Be your own courtesan. What have you always wanted to do or understand?
What would it take to become the most fascinating woman you know?

Other than systematically removing most of the other women I bother to spend any time with, I have no clue.

Then again, I could argue that my fascination is connecting fascinating people. Knowing me is worthwhile, even if not directly. Which is time consuming. Tonight there's (all at once, in different towns, of course) a burning man thing, an arisia thing, and a Chaoflux celebration. (Chaoflux? He has to be making this stuff up. Then again, he's Discordian. Trying to verify anything with the other Discordians who read this is an exercise in futility. Especially when they start excommunicating each other! )

There's also the usual diesel thing, which I was planning to skip unless invited by individuals to have a specific conversation or game. Not just hang out and feel unproductive. Now that [livejournal.com profile] queue has dully informed me that we, in fact, have a snowday (apparently we were sent a universal voicemessage, not that I know how to check my voicemail remotely, nor do I even know my extension), I might go anyway if I feel too cooped, assuming things are a little more plowed than they were yesterday.

I made it out to the gym, used the treadmill for the first time this month. Since I was already out and snow-covered, (and knew that no matter how I appreciated the crunch and whoosh in the silence outside, once home, I'd probably stay there), I visited the Euchre addicts, who were willing to play Mu once their numbers decreased. One of the potential hosts has a hot tub. I'm willing to like Euchre if it involves a hot tub.

Off to make myself more fascinating. But first, back to bed for a bit more sleep. (If I'm my own courtesan, I get to sleep with me, right? I hope I put out!)

I promised myself that if it was a snowday, I'd vacuum. I'm sure the Pizza Fairy will love that. He went to bed an hour ago.

I played both versions of Carcassonne today, which may only worsen my habit of calling forests "cities". I can't tell if I like Hunters & Gatherers better simply because of the charismatic mega-fauna, or it's now the familiar rules set, or if it truly a better variant.

Trudged home from Chaoflux on a windy route down straight roads and sidewalks, depending on where corner houses cut their path between the thigh high snowbanks to the road from the sidewalk, backtracking from dead ends where they had no more places to shovel snow, or their neighbor failed to shovel at all. Made me wish I had a snowblower and enough land to carve out a formal Snow Maze.

Didn't vacuum, didn't go to the gym. Curse you, Alchemy!

Did manage to get a few bills paid and mailed, remailed most of the postcards that came back to me (27, [livejournal.com profile] queue, if you're counting), met up with [livejournal.com profile] treacle_well at Diesel where we only got seating because we asked a stranger if we could share the booth.

She worked on her list of 100 things for LJ. I assume I am sufficiently prolific, however, if NOT, I have enough LJ friends that if each one of you (who actively reads) were to come up with 1-10 things you know about me (without repeating any previous list), I'd hit 100 eventually. So, if y'all want to start such a list, and get it more than halfway, I can try to complete it for you.

I sat down and made up a list of chores and projects.

Probably the only thing that will motivate me to vacuum is if I have people over, at least monthly.
I am cross-checking various dates for things. (I am still waiting on a date selection for Sooz brunch).
3/9 anti-social. (S suggested I have enough of my own literature to host one.)
4/12 Feet festival. (foot massage, foot soaking, toe socks, etc., maybe a long geocaching hike first to tire those toes out...)
Any known conflicts?
