cthulhia: (roses)
The roads were still visible when I started writing this. Now they are white. I don't quite have the clothes - certainly not handwear - for going off to build a snow fort. Not that this has stopped me before! This is my last unscheduled day until, uh, March. (The one tentative plan, finally getting someone to Burdicks, has trainwrecked. He just called, sounding so dreadful I feel sick. At least, I'm making myself tea.)

Ok, so her entry is about how your true love isn't necessarily another person, but can be your job or hobby or, well, in her case, rare sheep. It would be utter plagiarism (and tiresome) to transcribe this entry. Trust me, it's very cute, and ridiculously funny, to read her descriptions of this instance of love at first site.

Autumn called, (asking if I'd received the Danish chocolates yet; little, Not quite IceHouse, but... how hard would it be to make pyramid candy molds to scale?) and commented that the new book didn't seem as good as the previous one. It's just formatted slightly differently, and, not as original, perhaps? But she was all cuteness and family then. Now she's an old empty-nested divorcee with a thing for sheep.

So, a lot more Schadenfreude on one level, but also inspiration because she still seems to enjoy life. Unless you go to the web site, and follow a few links to the Simple Abundance CD compilation to be released in August. I was expecting something with "concerto" in the song title. Instead there is an mp3 of (un)easy listening that sounds like her writing set to music. ARGH! Really, go listen to this instead. Far, far more inspiring.
