cthulhia: (Powderhouse Bunny)
Last October, [profile] baronmind, [personal profile] sandrylene (and possibly [profile] spookyhandle) helped me "repair" the tree on Powderhouse that had the face on it, missing an eye. It's part of my regular running route. The nature of running gives you a lot of time to think, and get really, really bored.

Landmarks help. The weird art in the bikepath garden. The NIN carved into the Holland sidewalk. The friendly white cat, curled up in the decorative urn, looking like a big, white, fuzzy scoop of ice cream. The tree with the bunny in it (see icon) across from the Nave, which then eventually also became the Face Tree.

When it lost an eye, I spent a lot of time thinking it really needed an eyepatch. I think it was being infected by [profile] baronmind's instigator ions that finally got me to make a pirate eyepatch for it. But, when we got there... it was just a nose! He found the remaining eye in a pile of leaves, but the mouth was AWOL.

Our eyepatch lasted until the first week of January.

This morning, I actually managed run before the weather hit. The tree has a new face, with a big, bushy moustache.
