is this a common dream element?

I dream it a lot.
it being: that I am back in college full-time, and realize, significantly through the semester, that I'm officially enrolled in a particular class and have no recollection of having ever attended a single session. And now that the rest of the class loads are increasing as we get closer to finals, and it's too late to drop, I have no chance of catching up and getting a passing grade in this phantom class.
Except, in this morning's dream, the class was about magic or tarot or somesuch. I took the final anyway, and passed. I think a C. (A distinct part of the exam booklet showed where the professor promptly failed me, and then changed the grade, several times, while reading the contents.) She was so impressed that, even without active attendance in formal study, I'd managed to retain as much information as I had, that it merited course credit.
I wish I could remember the particular essay answers that really impressed her.

For those of you still in school wondering if you'll ever stop having school-themed nightmares, the answer is, probably not. The Days of Yore may haunt you for the rest of your life.
