barley moon, killing goats, burial mounds

brought folks to the full moon labyrinth walk. More crowded than usual. Not that I go every month, but I felt obliged to do something for my card-carrying blue star wiccan of a houseguest, and the rest of us just like puzzles.
When I wasn't looking, a bunch of other elboids found it. sigh. there goes the neighborhood. perhaps not. the nature of the walk limits the "damage", as it were. but, elboids are altogether too disturbingly like the borg.
Afterwards to Chez Pope, who entertained us with stories of mongolian efficiency at goat slaughter (as compared to Harvard grad students), digging up burial mounds and the archeology of ancient graverobbers ... "and that's what I did on my summer vacation."
we need to start taping him. we all know someone who will want to hear about at least one of those things.
