I often describe myself as a social chameleon.

but it's not that I can blend into any most social settings, it's that I can find a way to be, if not appropriately colored (appropriate? moi?), then, complimentary... in the color-sense. (In the social sense, I'm usually too busy choking on my own foot for anything to ever sound like a real compliment.)

Which is to say, I make most other colors look better, and get frustrated that a lot of those colors don't work together, with or without me.

my attempts to figure out why are turning out to be very inappropriate and off-color, indeed.
