well, that didn't help

I've been having one of those days where I needed to slay the ego before it had a chance to slay me but I simply couldn't move fast enough.
I was hoping for a funny, even if a little mindless, distraction, from a free preview of The Anchorman.
I am angry at how much this film sucked. Worse than Cabin Boy, or Joe Versus the Volcano, and others I've probably blocked entirely from my memory.
Apparently I never got the memo on Will Farrell. I'd heard that Elf wasn't a complete waste of time. Lesson learned,
scliff, damn.
Farrell is the anti-anti-drug. As in "How much pot would I have to smoke to find this funny?" I wasn't expecting Shrek 2, but... something redeemable, maybe Very Brady since it was also 70s retro... Tim Robbins and Jack Black willingly did cameos, c'mon! not fair!
What really annoys is knowing that there are dumb ass, lobotomites out there who are going to loooooooove this film. Like the teen mother I used to work with in upstate east bumfuck nowhere.
I remember talking about Immortal Beloved, as a wonderful story about Beethoven. She perked up, giving me into false sense of potential for enlightenment. "Beethoven? I looooove Beethoven." But, she began to glaze as I described the film. It required rubbing a two (2) whole braincells together, which was far past what she had on hand.
"O, I meant the dog."
Well, this movie has a dog in it, so I'm sure she'll eat this shit up.
Argh!
