as the end credits begin in The Life Aquatic and the cast walks boldy towards, or sometimes merely in synch with, the (moving) camera, a thought formed in my head.

a terrible, evil, grinch-grinning thought.

And then, formed itself into words, just as Jeff Goldblum joined the march.

This movie was exactly like, and totally different from, Buckaroo Bonzai.
