After multiple efforts, I succeeded in getting the @!#$!! key to turn, and get me into the house and feed the cats. This has been stressing me out for most of the day. (I frantically tried to and from meeting Purple, with no success.) I had to have their Dad coach me on the phone (and hear the meows from the other side of the door) before it actually worked.
Purple (who now greets me on the phone with "Hey, it's Purple!") and I went to see Shaun of the Dead, which she accurately described as "The Feel Good Zombie Movie of the Year". There's some art in the windows along the alley next to the Boston Common theaters. Our favorite was (what we called) Red Snuffaluffagus, but the artist called it "missing you". I'm having a hard time finding sufficiently unique terms on google. Go check it out.
Afterwards I rather lost my mind at the Eddie Bauer Outlet. At least now I have some warm pants in my current size. (I may "anonymously" leave a stack of my old sized pants at
rubenesque's door. Including some corduroys that still have the tags on them. Dire need of clothing swap.)
Then, we tried to go for coffee. Lamenting the loss of Curious Liquids and lack of tables at Borders, we ended up at Starbucks. (!) Are there no longer any better choices near Park Street?
Well, at least they have comfy leather armchairs.
