[m4w] boring boring boring

I remember when I began the roadtrip to "move" to New Orleans. One of my first stops was to visit Cisco during his incarceration at SUNY Buffalo. He of the large and frightening "can you tell I've lived in California" music collection, proceeded to make me a mix tape while initiating the process of re-addicting me to caffiene. (I'd weaned myself in the previous month, and discovered that the first thing any host offered was caffiene, be it hot tea, sweet tea, coffee, soda -- including RC. I was dosing on the ol' bean again in no time.)
Cisco'd grin maniacally and mutter "boring boring boring" as he claimed to craft a mix tape designed to lull me to sleep, with the likes of The Residents, Butthole Surfers and Brian Dewan. "ooooo yes, you'll nod right off on the interstate with this one." (cackle)
Relevant now in two ways. Lacking a cassette deck in my car, I'm raiding the compliations of another Californian's music collection.
dougo, the State of the Union mix of 1 minute random tracks was perfect for my neglible attention span. This way I won't have forgotten when next month you ask what I liked.
And,
because I was trying to get home in time for dinner with Mom, I've the whole night and forgot to plan an activity. (And I haven't had the focus to read a book since, well, January.) So, now she's asleep, and I'm over being the token human for my sister's menagerie, who don't really want to interact so much as simply know there's a human puttering in the background.
Boring Boring Boring.
This is not helped by the fact that I'd been entertaining myself for a week with the fantasy that someone would've make the trip with me, and, um, appreciate all the Italian Leather Furniture...
m4w is about being crazy. (And dougo exhorted me not to let the situation make me nuts, as if I weren't already.) yeah, but it's never in the fun, wild way I hope for.
