Gratitudes primarily of the snowdrift related sort

I am grateful for:

1. Off street parking.
   
2. All wheel drive.
   
3. Having a driving commute. (I hated the amount of shovelling required before I even Struck Vehicle. But, at least it's done now. There's still huge snowdrifts with just a bit of windshield showing underneath.)
   
   • Not dealing with sidewalks that simply don't exist every third house or so. (It was an amusement a la snow maze to walk back from gaming last night. It would be unfun if obligatory.)
     
   • Having reduced traffic because people who fear for their parking snowcave space take public transit.
     
   • Having the worst of my commute being The Snow Hedgerow affect. Road is no longer big enough for two way traffic, so you have to hope you can pull into a side street, or driveway, or the Rare Parking Space Without a Chair in It.
   
   
4. Getting free passes to see Calendar Girls tonight, which sounds like the stuff of Simple Abundance/Romancing the Ordinary gone horribly wrong. :)
   
5. Being able to offer at least a ride home to whoever might want to see it with me.
