so, I went to the hot foods party, and I managed not to overeat. I chose to explicitly avoid pepper-spicy foods, the wasabi peas were long gone when I arrived, there was comparatively few gingery/cinnamony options, and I didn't discover
fangirl715's tins of brownie goo until fairly late.
And...
bridgetminerva gave me toe socks with monkey faces on the toes. (However, google only wants to show me classic sock monkeys.)
And, while Billy Squier was Rocking Me Tonight on the way home, it occurred to me to mention that
rikchik made me a couple evil Discordian mix CDs, neither of which I managed to play in time for Chaoflux. And the Baha mix starts skipping mid-Billy, but me with my poorly trained ear tuned it out as some form of odd resampling until the next few songs did the same thing.
(Ask Lissard about that time I visited him on his farm, listened to The Perfect Drug CD for the first time, and wondered aloud why Trent was sampling barn animals in every single track.)
Have you a poor ear too? Go to Ishkur's Guide to Electronic music and see if you correctly place "O Fortuna" by Apotheosis. "O, if that's not stadium, it's just classic" says Dougo. From memory!
Stadium? Wouldn't that be, like, the guitar-based super-groups of the 70s?
A listed example was KLF. (So I guess I like stadium, who knew? Learn something new every day.) After about an hour of futzing with the site, I've determined that most of the genres fall under the general category of "Theme Camp".
