[livejournal.com profile] pookfreak sent me a suspiciously calendar-shaped package.

Like I waited til Xmas to open it. As if!

A day of the dead calendar! The 2004 version of the 200..2? calendar [livejournal.com profile] pheromone also just had to get me. Some of the images are repeated, but, it's all still good party decor. I've become easy to shop for. (Not to fear, if there's ever a Day of the Dead themed puzzle maze game, I can probably gift forward all the duplicates.)

Someday, I'd love to get elegant things again, like maybe a Planet or two. Alas, I currently have no safe space to display nice (fragile) things, so I don't even ask. Mom had lots of neat breakable stuff. In spite of her litter of sasquatches (and our partners in crime) much of it lasted long enough to be appreciated (broken) by the next generation.

Speaking of planets, finally went to Danger Planet's Thursday game night. (I've been working in Waltham how many months and it only now occurs to me?) Karl has been suggesting a Looney Demo night there for, um, years. It took five (5) minutes to agree on Thursday, January 8th, 7-~10 pm. Hopefully, he'll take over from here and I'll just have to remember to throw the ears in my car that morning.

When in Waltham, dine on Moody street.

Tom Can Cook had a menu item that was shrimp stuffed with chicken and wrapped in bacon. "Shrimp-ducken?" asked [livejournal.com profile] dougo. Only dipping the whole thing in cheese could make it more traif, And on that note, Happy (C)Han(n)uka(h)!
