cthulhia: (my day in the sun)
[personal profile] cthulhia
More on clothing that we can't give up because it represents a memory we're afraid to exorcise, even though ultimately, it brings us down. Things that still fit, but have too many memories associated with them. Which means I really have to toss the shirt I've been using as a nightshirt since 1999. It's tattered anyway, loved to shreds. That might just be a metaphor, but I need to cut myself off from that headspace, maybe permanently.

Just thinking things are cursed is enough to do it. Purging them, even if it's all in your mind, will still help. Or so I hope.

Well, it works for Buddhists.
