[RTO] wardrobe deadwood

cthulhiaevery closet/storage space in your house needs to get weeded out every season. Break this down in 13 different zones of storage, then one only needs to hit one a week to keep on top of things. Except of course you end up with the pile of stuff you want to get rid of, but want to consign, get pictures and sell on eBay, save for clothing swap, etc.
Give each zone 3 hours when you decide to tackle it.
For clothing:
Promptly split ino 2 piles: wearable, needs repair/really amazing stain remover). chuck second pile. (do charities take clothing that needs to be fixed?)
the 4 questions:
1. when did I wear this last?
2. did I feel beautiful or comfortable in it?
3. when/how will I where it again?
4. if I were moving and not just cleaning, would I pack it?
this probably would work for things other than clothing, but my roommate would just pick it up and bring it back in. "It's still perfectly functional." Butt ugly and only makeshift appropriate do not phase him.
Hilary Scott's rule: If you trashpick something and don't use it within a year, put it back in circulation.
