[RTO] Meditation
Mar. 17th, 2003 12:00 pmMeditation is more than assuming the pretzel position and breathing with your eyes half closed trying to stay awake while your legs cramp up something fierce. (As bad as that particular form sounds, it works.)
It is also long meandering walks, long runs (sometimes), gardening, pretty much anything on your own where you're awake, your brain is on autopilot, hours slip away, and you come out of it feeling rejuvenated.
Yesterday I had this with The Eggs. Yes, I know, a beautiful day to stay inside. Bite me.
I'm getting a little non-creative about designs in my efforts just to work through the more than four dozen eggshells I've managed to stockpile. Traditional designs sell better anyway. Eventually, I will start working on some eggs appropriate to next Arisia's art show. Maybe SG1 eggs, possibly with the really freckled shells, since I want to connect the dots like constellations anyway.
I do need to figure out a way to do Walrus/Eggman eggs. Aside from my role as the Egg Woman, I often sprout tusks... when left alone with chopsticks, or lately Twizzlers, which were given out "Free" at last night's Oscar Nominated Shorts screening, along with burritos, hot dogs, beer, cookies, sodas, wee bottles of water, coffee, popcorn, ice cream sammiches... (it was a day of "Free" food. At the race: scones, bbq and, had I been willing to wait longer, potato leek soup and actual Irish beer.)
Claudia_ and rmd turned up at the movies, rather unnerving me with their fears that the floor hadn't been cleaned since the SF marathon. Ew.
