Since "last year's" book, she's moved to England (to breed sheep!) Moving to England obliges a certain love of rain (and sheep, perhaps). Or so I hear. Apparently, the one time I went to England, in 1984, there was a drought. I am not sure it rained once in two or more weeks. The 2 weeks I spent in the Pacific northwest, in 1986, it also didn't rain.

(Wow, I haven't been to either of those places since. I'm so not [livejournal.com profile] mangosteen!)

She also delights in using rain as an excuse to get out of dreaded expeditions. I don't even let snow days do that for me. but, if you can, let the rain allow you a time out.

dance in the rain, listen to the rain, etc. yes, this I already do.

I am looking forward to a rainy summer day when I can stay in and work on the jigsaw puzzle I got for yule. I remember rainy days as a kid, doing puzzles and listening to Bill Cosby records. (The Noah sequence, in particular, was good listening during a deluge.)

After the rainy day when I stay in trying to make more eggs for the folks who gave me the puzzle. And the rainy day when I get all my fish paintings done, and the rainy day when I catch up on all the films I keep failing to see, and the rainy day when...
