I have a newfound respect for alcohol and caffiene as drugs.
After this afternoon's prickly pear drowsing, I availed myself of ubiquitous office sweets (especially this time of year) while prowling meeting rooms for leftover coffee, or at least caffinated tea.
I found both. Drank the coffee, kept a teabag in reserve. The effects were rather detectable, astonishingly fast. I perked right along until I realized it was 6, and I wasn't as tired as I had been. By then, I was recovered from thr alcohol, and back into a normally perky time of day.
Nonetheless, I may be convinced to cut back on my morning caffiene habit, and try to evaluate when I really need it or have a planned coffee date from when I'm just being robotic. I really should try to go to the gym before work. Hey! Could happen.
