SA 12/17 Act Two
Dec. 17th, 2002 03:48 pmwhen I just turned 13, I remember wanting to right a book called The Terrible 12, relating to how the first dozen years SUCKED, but then it got better.
Things didn't improve as planned, so at 14 my secret project was renamed The Unlucky Thirteen.
Then puberty really hit and things really didn't get better, in fact, they got measurably worse. Like they do for everyone. (Barring these sorts of journals, I doubt I'll ever publish my memoirs.)
She talks of how to the second chapter of a woman's life is not worse, just different.
I still can't tell if things get better, or we just get more numb.
The audience would leave during intermission, but getting up is too much effort.
