Movie night request
Dec. 7th, 2002 02:03 pmThe Ref is the "classic" holiday (themed) movie I want to watch the most this year.
Perhaps at the gingerbread night, after the kidlet leaves, since Denis Leary might oblige her mom to explain too much too soon. Apparently, the actual gingerbread will have to be cooked the night before and assembled into houses 8 hours before it can be decorated.
I remember one holiday when we moved the cookie decorating set-up in front of the TV to watch seasonal cartoons; Grinch, [The one with Heat Miser], etc. We used to use tweezers toanal-retentively carefully place the sprinkles. I miss those sorts of family-like activities.
The Ref reminds me what I don't miss.
If not that night, maybe hosted by someone with a better TV, or a larger audience. It isn't a large screen required kind of show, but it's up there with Flirting With Disaster. The sort of movie that, if you've seen it before, you really enjoy watching people see it for the first time.
