Close to Home is kids waiting until just past the rest area before announcing they need to go to the bathroom. My own bladder plays this game with me when I am driving alone.
Women's Wit is Carol Matthau: The dying process begins the minute we are born, but it accelerates during dinner parties. Not sure if this implies that dinner parties are stressful, or that inevitable discussion of health becomes dueling hypochondria.
Speaking of the dying process, surgery apparently went well today. That portion of the looming catastrophe remains in a holding pattern.
My manager's vacation starts tomorrow. She's having fits because they haven't renewed my contract yet. Until then, my official last day is Friday.
Anyway, back to my book.
