SA 11/21 Mental Health Days
Nov. 21st, 2002 12:20 pmThe importance of playing hooky, a break from job, kids and husband to do... what? well, the stuff I am already overbooked for. I've been playing too much hooky from my hooky! Or something.
I am trying to think of when I can take a mental health day. I will have to, sometime before the craft fair. Right now the only unscheduled days before then is Turkey Weekend. Other than running the Gobble Gobble Gobble on Thursday, I've carefully not planned anything. (My sister may turn up Saturday. Unlikely, but I have to plan for it.) I have to get stuff done. Avram and Mamishka can come over, but only if they'll help varnish the eggs (and help me get the right materials for that.)
No time to leave town, and, not really time to invent a potluck item, or recover from emotionally stressful meals. I want to go over for an hour, eat, and leave, not be social. Better yet, have it delivered. Then I don't overeat or fall into my usual lingering habits, which I cannot afford.
Anotherjen and I discussed the possibility of Soup Kitchen, but, I probably won't have the time next week. Spike, from last weekend's party, works a soup kitchen on Beech, so I will ask her when folks are needed after I've gotten a round of art done. Remind me of this
