Driving myself crazy is a Very Short Trip

cthulhiaInspired, I actually made some art today!
All excited, I go home to scan it in and put it on my virtual refrigerator to share with all y'all. Yay.
Set up the scanner, stick the watercolor pad in the scanner...
Realize that I haven't used the scanner since my hard drive had to be replaced,
hence, the software needs to be re-installed,
from a CD.
looks at non-functional CD drive,
looks at CD,
looks at non-functional CD drive, inwardly berates self for being stupid.
packs up scanner, makes mental note to, o, perhaps buy an external CD drive?
scanner is oddly tight in storage box, worried that it's packed wrong and could be damaged, proceeds to pull it out, which is quite a struggle, and tried to repack it another way, but it's still tight. hmmm. puts scanner away.
proceeds to plan B, just take photos of new art, for now.
um... where is the art? can't. find. watercolor. pad. anywhere. continues to inwardly berate self for being stupid... and perhaps senile.
eventually, thought occurs.
unpack scanner, another struggle because it is, of course, oddly tight in storage box.
opens scanner, pulls out watercolor pad. berates self some more.
repacks scanner, which, unsurprisingly, fits much more comfortably in box now.
*sigh*
