SA 9/26 Persistence and Patience
Sep. 26th, 2002 11:15 amShe opens with an excellent Calvin Coolidge quote.
She closes with a poem by Hoda al-Namai. I found only one webcopy, on Kim Crow's website. She dates the poem at 5/18/01, which must mean when Kim found it, since the daybook was published in 95. This website is more table happy than my wish list.
I think I'm getting the hang of Persistence.
Patience, on the other hand, is TAKING FOREVER! I can't wait to master that!
I am inappropriately joyful at tonight's plans with... [a =friend=], and frustrated at how limited our plans will of course have to be. Patience dear ones. If it is real, it will always be real. If it isn't, it's not worth the rush anyway. (If you love someone... stick a pin through their thorax and put 'em under glass?)
But I have seen those moments slip by me. Patience, she says, is more about tact and timing than waiting. That makes the learning curve that much more steep for me.
