Simple Abundance 4/17-19 (from memory)
Apr. 19th, 2002 03:51 pmOf course, I'm struggling to remember the actual date, since these computers are all screwed up.
SA 4/17 Accept your hair.
For the past two days my hair was a big non-dreaded strip of velcro in desperate need of a wash even without the spray mount factor. Today it's clean, and has decided to play nice with the humidity this time. Not enough to have the least-frizzed curls I get, but, I don't loathe it the way I did yesterday.
SA 4/18 Make-up as ego-boosting accent, not defensive war-paint disguise.
The process of applying cosmetics obliges you to pay attention to your face and skin. Actually look at yourself and like what you see. If make-up squiks you, then just use a transparent foundation thingie with an SPF rating (although check to make sure the sunscreen doesn't have phyto? estrogens) or just massage moisterizer or some such. The idea here is believe your face is worth a 10 minute investment every morning, no matter who else gets to see it that day.
Er, I didn't even remember to brush my teeth this morning...
SA 4/19 Find a new secret place.
In spite of the damp and Male Cohort bailing on our geocaching date this afternoon, I AM going to take these new boots for a test drive today, Dammit.
time to amscrae!
37.5 paid hours
6 lunch
10 commute
=
53.5 hours.
I used to do that much of paid time in previous jobs. Now that I've fallen out of the habit, this work stuff is rather eating into my free time. The want me back next week but are letting me have Monday off. Apparently 3 day contracts here often last for months.
