pomelo and chayote

one of my cow orkers had a suspiciously large citrus fruit on his desk for most of last week, or, as I had started saying Citrus Of Unusual Size. It had a note taped to it.
I am a pomelo.
I am very tasty.
share me with friends.
I gotta have one. (the fruit, not the label, although... )
Well, whenever I stumble across one.
But this makes it more likely that I will go out of my way to, say, Pembertons, for my stumbling, sometime soon.
While trying to find an image that would show scale of the C.O.U.S., I stumbled across a Suddenly Seymour-like image of a thick-lipped vegetable. Turns out it's a chayote, and, although prepared like potatos, apparently low-carb friendly.
Also, gotta have one.
Not that I am entirely sure what'd I'll be able to do with them. In the past two days, I had to be reminded, firsthand, that light cream is NOT whippable, and that I am clinically incapable of toasting sesame seeds (although the few I was able to salvage did manage to flavor half a head's worth of sesame cabbage salad, and wow... cabbage is densely packed. The big salad bowl filled up far faster than expected.)
