• frequenter of sci-fi cons -- if one con a year counts. (although, since George R.R. Martin is at Vericon this year, I may go to two.)
  
• unapologetic Society for Creative Anachronism maven -- I haven't been to an SCA event in... er... maybe Pennsic 30? Possibly not a non-pennsic SCA event since, er... 1997? Yet Santacon and Burning Man get no mention, which I've been doing more recently. (Yes, and NIN, but we never discussed NIN.)
  
• She spent her first real Valentine’s Day with a beau in a Marblehead cemetery, shivering atop the tomb of Azor Orne. -- um, my first V-day after I moved to Boston, and... he totally wasn't a beau, although I adore him as a friend.
  
• To the horror of her born-again brother, she once got married to herself, because she liked the date 9.9.99 for a wedding day. -- Of all the things about me that horrify him, that never came up. He's perhaps horrified that I'm not "really" married.
  
• a hardcore gamer -- about the only game I do hardcore is play Kingdom of Loathing, and that's only because the restrictive ascension path with the cooler rewards is called "hardcore". But I carefully avoided mentioning KoL. I even forced myself to change *out* of The Shirt to avoid being a total fangirl. (If people don't know why my lime has fangs, they WILL ask. I love that shirt.)
  
• had been extolling the virtues of non-luck-based gaming -- why do I feel like I'm going to be totally roped into a game of Gnostica over this? (I openly prefer Zarcana precisely because it's more luck-based.)
  
• countless hours creating a new strategy game -- er what? "What's my sign?" really can't count. Maybe, if I can iron out an adequate variant of Lost Cities with the Aquarius deck, it'll be strategic, kinda sorta.
