sunshine and puppies and kittens

cthulhiaOk, no puppies. and, er, the only kitten is a pic of xenophobe's new kitten, napping on stacks of lime shirts.
However, it was sunny enough to lunch in the Copley pit. As much as I love water fountains, I also love watching the skaters practice when the pit is still dry.
Saw someone rolling an unremarkable (non-inter-building theft worthy) office chair along the square, carrying a bike helmet. Personally, I've never been able to get my chair to move at helmet-worthy speeds, I suppose if you attach it to a bicycle...
Zarf is back. And I got home from the gym too late for gaming... although there was probably still time for TRAAAAINS. (Dag nabbit, I have a box o vinyl too, brought from my dark teenaged past, that someone still needs to be peruse).
Watched as much of The Perfect Storm as we could take (before escaping to The Daily Show). Kept having to stop and look up what actual meteorologists thought of the flick. And check the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch charts.
When I did Easter with the family, as an alleged fan, I was inevitably quizzed about Clooney movies I haven't seen yet. (TiVO only goes so far, even when someone is this trendy). I've been waiting for a big ol' Netflix Friends and Family discount to come back round again (on my gee-tar). Now that it has, I may start that bad habit. Except we're heading into the good weather now. Season of books on the porch, not movies in the living room. (Much less every episode of Lost, now that I've decided maybe I should watch it.)
In other news, said favorite armchair stalker topic got a mention on Wonkette, due to his recent trip to Sudan. Activists are sooooo cuuuuute. And edumacational too!
No, I'm not racing to DC to attend his protest. (What part of "armchair" don't you understand?) I already have a 10K that day, which also has an activist angle. But, I filled out a postcard. What are the chances that George will spam me even a tenth as often as MoveOn? Sadly, I doubt my inbox will be so lucky. (Probably a good cause. I'm cynical about any aid not getting intercepted at this distance. Then again, he's proven a willingness to be more direct, and actually go there himself.)
