Birthday meme with a twist

Rather than do my own birthday wikipedia thing, I decided to swap with
ladycalliope and do her birthday instead.
Er, she was born on today's date. (So I had to pick things she didn't pick for me). (o:
April 9th
Events
* 1413 - Henry V is crowned King of England.
* 1865 - American Civil War: Robert E. Lee surrenders[...], effectively ending the war.
* 1867 - United States [...] purchase of Alaska.
Births
(LadyC covered Tom Lehrer already. Wikipedia doesn't note Paulina Porizkova, who was born on this date. Even without them, I can't pick just two. I think my official two would be Bauledaire and Cheeta. However, Fulbright founded great scholarships, Hefner is probably the most immediately recognizable name, and Vasarely is the artist who inspired the Gaulthier dress worn by MTV VJ Kennedy during an interview with Trent and Bowie. Bowie recognized the artistic nod, and Trent noted that it made "her jugs look big". Argh! So, there's a NIN bond there.)
* 1821 - Charles Baudelaire, French poet (d. 1867)
* 1905 - J. William Fulbright, U.S. Senator from Arkansas (d. 1995)
* 1908 - Victor Vasarely, Hungarian-born painter (d. 1997)
* 1926 - Hugh Hefner, American editor and publisher
* 1932 - Cheeta, the longest living known chimpanzee in history
Deaths
(Officially, I go with Dworkin. But, two great writers, and a guy actually named Zog? Also, wikipedia doesn't mention that Weird Al lost both parents to carbon monoxide poisoning on this date in 2004.)
* 1553 - François Rabelais, French writer
* 1626 - Sir Francis Bacon, English philosopher, statesman, and essayist (b. 1561)
* 1961 - King Zog of Albania (b. 1895)
* 2005 - Andrea Dworkin, American feminist and writer (b. 1946)
