who are these people?

Logically, if I'm whining about the people I know in person who, according to LJ, don't actually like me, I should try to figure out who my "also friends of " are; whether or not I actually *have* met them and at a level where it's probably embarrassing that I haven't made that connection yet, whether or not one of them is the guy who posted 3 photos of his car covered by a foot of snow as 3 reasons why he left Maine, whether or not they're still reading (or have filtered me away, or have stopped using LJ, etc.), and whether or not they even want to read the wartier (i.e. locked) version of LJ. (Lately monopolized by a stressful housing search, but hopefully not for too much longer.)
So, according to the meme: please tell me who you are (or something about you) and why you friended me.
(If I don't post the following sentence, I probably get chain letter bad luck, and I SO don't need that right now.)
Then, if you are curious about the folks who've friended you (possibly including me), post this on your LJ.
