Ras na... Dirty ExploitZOR!
Mar. 15th, 2010 01:46 pmMy Official Time was *awesome* this year!
I am surprised that the technology cared that I crossed the finish line, when I didn't cross the start line.
I suppose this makes me even for last year, when I ran without registering...
Since I am NOT training for a marathon, I'm allowed to look at a windy deluge and think "o FUCK NO" and hit the snooze button a few times. Although, had I moved a little faster, I would've reached The Burren before there was a line. Since enough people actually ran it, despite the weather, I felt too guilty about lining up with them. And, there was an open booth! In the Diesel! At brunch time on a Sunday! So, I had to hang out. By the time I was heading home, I was able to walk right into the Sligo, (for the first time ever, actually). And got fiercely ribbed by all the runners who declared me a wuss. “Yes, but I am, well, ok, not dry, but, less waterlogged than all of you.” But, I still got a couple free beers.
Maybe... I won't unwrap the finisher's medallion they gave me until I get this time on treadmill. (I usually can run faster inside, and apparently got within a minute of it outside last year. So, it might be doable.)
