Ras na hBandit

Filled up while I was down under, so I ran this as a bandit. There was one water station (after the 2 mile marker), and no mile splits, except at the end. I crossed the start line several minutes into the race. (Finish clock was around 38 minutes.) Registered runners had tracking chips.

Not all (registered) runners got finisher medallions, which... well, I wish the slowest runners got at least as much support. If they're not just starting, and thus need encouragement, then they're struggling, and need more validation... I have issues with baevents, but... the local alternatives haven't been any better. The Boilermaker is so slickly run, most races suffer from the comparison.

Find me pix of the 3 girls dressed as Pots of Gold! I started and finished near them. But I forgot to note their race numbers, and they disappeared into the crowd while I waited for [livejournal.com profile] saxikath and [livejournal.com profile] sirhc_warrior. I was maybe 3 minutes ahead of Kath, who finished in 36 minutes, hence my guess at time. (Never saw Laurinda finish. Hope she's ok.)

The weather was perfect for running, low 50s. Wished I'd worn shorts while running, but glad of the layers once I stopped.
