cthulhia: (blathering)
(because, well, we'll be competing against dan next year, so, um, right, maybe we'll run the 2010 hunt, and well, that theme writes itself, really...)

Ok, really, it was just Bad Board Game Variants:
Ten Days in Middle Earth
Ten Days in Catan (Narnia, Westeros, etc. etc. The new Monopoly of customizable board games.)
Ashes to Ashes (a Goth Variant of Apples to Apples, so, like, take the apple adjectives, and mix it with a deck full of dead people)

In other news, Repeating Shumai Rifle, handy for food fights at Dim Sum. (And for bewildering Skunk when one bounds over to him at the Somerville Museum SOS preview reception suggesting such a thing.)

Confidential to tonight's Quiddler quorum: Queerios
Then, after explaining [The Second Ottoman Empire]'s habit of playing Zen Talisman, we played Zen TransAmerica.

"These Cards Suck!"
"Couldn't link to my track? What? Are you planning on hitting the west coast through El Paso? You KNOW you have Portland."
"Dammit, Alan wins and he's not even here tonight? That's so unfair."
"Yeah well, he also just beat us at Zen Catan."

As Zarf pointed out, I zorped my hair again. After the rave reviews of my hair at the wedding, I bought my own zorper. I was nonplussed with the results after attempting to blow-dry it straight at the gym. (They "upgraded" their dryers, and, I can't even get a good curly hair day out of the danged things now.) But, letting it dry naturally, and then zorping, seems to work out well.

IFF starts tomorrow. Other than randomly picking up whatever screenings I can without really annoying the staff (between Ego and the Oracle, and trying to do any of NoCa OS), I am going to the Friday showing of Black Sheep, and Sunday's Twisted. Join me, or not. I'll go alone, hoping the volunteer tag makes me look slightly less lame for doing so. But, whatev, I'm used to going to things alone.
