cthulhia: (my bloody valentine)
Luckily, [livejournal.com profile] baronmind and [livejournal.com profile] huzzahuzzah arrived in time to save me from having to confess that my party wasn't all there when I added my name to the list, but late enough that [livejournal.com profile] sandrylene and I managed to complete the entire Dig puzzle.

Walking back to my place (to grab implements of destruction), [livejournal.com profile] happyfunpaul drove up, handed me a Masterpiece of Modern Literature that he just had to give me, and drove off as quickly. Only in this neighborhood?

Anyway, armed with black electrical tape and a leatherman, they helped me achieve a minor goal: Putting a pirate eyepatch over the missing eye of the tree with a face on Powderhouse Blvd. (same tree has a bunny in its base too). Since it's on my regular running route, I see this tree a lot. (Actually, I wanted to eyepatch the missing eye on the tree with a face on my street. Shortly after the Powderhouse tree lost an eye, the nearer tree regained one. Very Suspicious.)

When we got there, it was down to a nose. We managed find the lone eye by digging through piles of leaves. But the mouth was gone.

Since we were so nearby, I checked, and sure enough, the Nave gallery was open for another hour. So we played a round of mini golf. Then I *had* to show them the spiders on Chester and Orchard. Having seen the best of Davis Square right there, I left them off at the diesel and headed home to, well, further procrastinate on my chore list for the day. Hence this post.
