wish list of sorts

not quite the meme going round, but, it's a start.

1. Recommendations for a decent boardgame for Tuesday's swap. (accompany me to Your Move to pick one out, like tonight or sunday.)
   
2. The ability to use my headphones on Skype. I have a PowerBook G3 Pismo (with a processing upgrade to enable some variant of OSX), and I bought an Altec Lansing AHS-302i Headset, only to discover it doesn't work with my ancient (in computer years) laptop. I need either some sort of converter thingie between them, or, Xeno recommended Plantronics .Audio 85 Headphones.
   
3. Someone to fix/replace the necklace chain for my, ahem, Silver Rooster pendant. (I have lots of little jewelry projects like that that I know I'm never going to get to. That's the main one, though.)
   
4. Someone to help me organize/optimize my possessions/filing, etc. (And, in this case, the person I know who *likes* to do this should NOT offer to do it for free, so I'm more looking for someone who'd be up for paying her to do it. Two great gifts in one, or something.)
   
5. A loan of a bar-code etc. scanner so I can anal-retentively scan in my library. (And, help with the software. duh.)
   
6. Help in extricating my CD collection from prog, who hasn't had time to rip them all to mp3s for me. (I strongly suspect I'm getting an iPod for Xmas, Family seemed suitably horrified to find out I don't already have one. If so, I'll have to have a record library again. I've mostly been just listening to streaming radio since I moved. Also, recommend decent, small speakers.)
   
7. tickets to shows (broadway? although that requires more planning) and upscale dining, and, this is key, people to go with. (I hear about great shows and restaurants, but rarely get to go to such places, unless I go alone, which isn't as much fun.)
