brain worms that need to get OUT of my head (and into yours)

  • ever since [livejournal.com profile] ceo used the term Breast Barnacle to describe standard nursing infants (which his isn't) I've been using it every chance I can.
(Conveniently, since then, a baby shower and assorted new mom encounters. This, however, is the first time I've mentioned on LJ, and... I'm counting on greater [livejournal.com profile] amnin to torture the expectant ninnies. bwa ha ha ha.)
  • [livejournal.com profile] haptotrope mentioned mixing up wasabe peanuts with honey peanuts. I recently discovered that TJ's packages them this way. Evil!
  • Eat your heart out manhattan: The Somerville Gates. (I don't think I know the people who did it...)
  • one of you did this to me: http://www.deviantart.com/view/8666529/

Inviting [livejournal.com profile] coolwhitestare over to use up the lush mask and play-and-bake cookie dough resulted in the inevitable. "Ooooh.... LJ Icon?" Shall I point out that we did not rub the dough on our face nor bake with the mask? Or leave it open for your snarky remarks?

now... what to do with all these cookies?

Gallery Reviews

Last year, one of my sub-resolutions was to average an exhibit a week, resorting to Open Studios and The Walls of the Diesel to round up only within reason. I did it, but, I don't remember much of it.

This year, my goal is to try to write at least a paragraph about every show.

Newbury Street is Right Over There

I might as well make the most of this downtime before the inevitable crunch. I hit a bunch of galleries in lieu of lunch.

The Diesel does currently have a delicious Photorealist exhibition (along with a scrapbook show of the construction of the new expansion), which I think is mostly that guy from Mad Oyster. But I won't write a review until I can at least provide a name. :)

tee hee hee

in case I haven't pointed it out lately, [livejournal.com profile] prog is, in fact, one of the coolest people I know.

although, I look at a fair chunk of my friends list, and realize a lot of them are the coolest people I know.
