pullet surprise
Dec. 10th, 2004 04:40 pmMy cow orker finally brought in a stash of fresh, locally grown white egg shells. (He'd collected a bunch last month, but his dog managed to pull the basket off the counter, and break them all after he'd gone to the trouble of blowing out the shells for me.)
He has some new white egg laying hens, but they're pullets, which are smaller, and their eggs are smaller (but seem just as hard as regular chicken shells, usually smaller shells are weaker.)
And they're soooooo cuuuuuuute!
I have a dozen wee chicken eggs, (including the very first egg laid by one of the lil' hens), but I really need to deprioritize pysanky for a while.
but they're soooooo cuuuuuuute.
