([livejournal.com profile] awfief I'm using the term "crap" affectionately. Although, I should be careful. A friend who organized the "Craft Days at Cottage Lawn" called it "Crap Days at Cabbage Lawn" that I actually mispublished the name of the estate in my weekly paper. That was a lifetime ago... )

I sold 26 eggs today, 40 total, enough to run out of ornament boxes!

Luckily, [livejournal.com profile] dougo (who bought six eggs... AND lunch) allowed me to store his in an egg crate until I can find boxes for them. (My usual Michael's has sold out of 4x4 kraft boxen. So this mission is more involved than)

And, ok... can [livejournal.com profile] haptotrope call em or what? The Sign of the Dove folks chastized me for not trying to get my eggs into their holiday store. (I distinctly remember not being able to make their "jury" call in September.)

So, [livejournal.com profile] mattlistener, this is the egg you wanted. [livejournal.com profile] fangirl715 beat you to it, but you know where she lives. :)

I'll make more pagan-y eggs, no doubt. But need to focus on other stuff now.

With my unexpected profit, I bought a big pottery bowl with fishes on it. I'm probably going to buy a couple bracelets from Ms. Beadventurous.

She has a number of aquamarine beads I like, especially the Czech beads that are edged in copper, although you can't really see that part in the online photos. I like the copper edged beads, very verdigris. Also some aqua venetian beads with silver leaf interiors that make up for their heart shape. (She links to variations of both on eBay, but LJ mark-up doesn't like it when I link to them.)

Since I just sent those URLs to my recently bead-obsessed sister, I'll probably be buying stuff for her too. So it won't just be selfish holiday shopping. really.

ok, so here are some beads sorta like the ones I was drooling over.

copper edged:

foil interior:

I should walk over to her house right now and get the bracelets. Not nearly the mark-up I guessed. Those beads are wicked expensive.

(o wow, they even have a special subcategory of really pale aqua... oh, oh, oh. http://www.gems2behold.com/store/beads_shop_by_color_aquamarine.html)

I so don't need a new craft habit right now, but, damn!

edit: ok, half the results for a search on "copper edged aqua" are RPG scenario descriptions. Geeks are just sublimating their miserly jewelry obsession with their games. Ha!
