Let's unSimplify!
Oct. 14th, 2004 01:24 pmFluxx at the new MLGN last night. All three players had a baked good. Goal was "two baked goods". I had the "go fish" card, asked the others if they had "steal a keeper", which of course they didn't, and actually drew that card for the win. Ah, the difficult strategies required for Fluxx.
Then, our classic MLGN AD(H)D game; Volcanic Wimp-Out, which is 3+ player Volcano with the option to play Cosmic Wimp-Out when it's not your turn. Although, you can miss a Volcano turn if you get too caught up in Cosmic, which we did to Karl, a lot. After an abortive effort to use a HappyFun Die as a Cosmic score marker (people kept picking it up with all the other dice), some of us ended up playing Volcanic HappyFun Wimp-Out. Someday, Giant Mega Volcanic HappyFun Wimp-Out! Maybe as an Arisia tournament this year, if the Columbian Giant pyramids make it.
Afterwards, the Iguana Cantina, which was new to me. Way more interesting to look at than, say, Underbones. The giant ceiling Iguana greets you coming and going.
hauntmeister, have you been to this place yet? Le must.
