Mandatory Attendance
Sep. 28th, 2004 02:40 pmAs I have for the past n years (if you insist, I'll count the T-shirts when I get home), I am running the Somerville 5K for the Homeless this Sunday, at 10 AM.
It should take me about, o, 40 minutes. Free Johnny D's oatmeal at the finish line.
It would be so lovely if you were there, water, coffee and oatmeal in hand. (well, in appropriate containers in hand.)
Also:
For once, it's not the same weekend as the Tufts 10K, so I signed up for that race for the first time. Columbus Day, Monday October 11. Starts at 12 noon, and I expect that it'll take me at least 70 minutes. I have no idea what to expect from the race, but it would be nice to have folks waiting for me at the end of it. There is some sort of expo on the common, so we could T together and you could browse until I finish the race.
Afterwards, well, there's the boston common movie theater right there, hmmm? (What better time to see a chick flick than after a "race for women"?)
