my fear of wet yaks

the landlord has repainted a lot of the shared spaces in the house, and repainted and recarpeted the front porch. The glue, or something, in the carpet, stinks. It started out smelling like 20 yaks. Down to about 10 yaks when the Pope came by for dinner on Tuesday. Last night, when prog dropped by, it was down to about a yak and a half, or perhaps just the smelly feet of a single yak.

In order to air out the place, the door has been propped open all week. But, I hear there'll be rain soon, so now I fear it will renew the smell... into 20 wet yaks.
