[m4w] burn-out and leftovers
Mar. 15th, 2004 03:20 pmok, I'm hitting that point where having done these journal commentary entries for the third year in a row that I really feel like I've written enough about most of the usual topics.
acceptance/mistakes/amends, spiritual life, anger, and alone time. all good topics for me to read and re-reconsider annually, but, I guess I'm going through that ol' "not getting enough feedback" angst and am not getting enough external motivation to make external/public comments.
Seasonal Blog Affective Disorder, or something. More like monthly, or weekly. Hmmm.

However, Close to Home does inspire. Cow orkers making bets on who can identify and properly determine the age of leftovers in the office fridge. Which reminds me that I still have a portion of Thursday's lunch in ours. And, I'm not sure if that yogurt is one of the free ones I snagged from corporate leftovers... last year. eeeew!
I need a night to stay home and cook a week's worth of lunch. Or get better about not eating all of a restaurant meal so I have the leftovers later.
Friday,
dougo and I checked out the new Thai place. I cleaned my plate just like I shouldn't've. (Although, being so obviously satisfied is perhaps why I was invited back for next week's free semi-formal official opening party?) Then to Furbyhaus until way late.
Saturday, Purple and I brunched at JohnnyD's before I introduced her to Furbyhaus (March homepage image links to photos, as well as to my favorite Mars Lander image).
Sunday, I subsisted on pi, caffiene and cocoa, after managing to get none of the free runner food but a scone from the rather disorganized Ras nah Eirhann. I was willing to think it was just me being a snob until I drove down Broadway after the Pi party and the water station table was still untidily perched on the median. Granted, it was a fine scone. But I was expecting free barbecue or free Guinness and got neither. Having been so eited, I actually want to go to Red Bones Tonight.
Not sure about MLGN. I gamed All Weekend. Brattle's current Mondays belong to Hitchcock. However, I'm already going to a sneak preview movie w/ reception at Copley tomorrow, and missing the tuesday games. If I get to looneyland after 9, and then engage in a game or two, we'll be late enough for mixed ribs, which would be at least 2 meals.
And you thought I calculated my schedule based solely who has validated me more recently. Sometimes, it's all about avoiding the chore of cooking. (As opposed to cooking for pleasure, which I haven't done much of lately. Alas.)
