what time is it really?
Aug. 23rd, 2003 02:35 amok, so I have to get up in 4 hours. I can sleep on the plane.
I have overpacked in terms of costumes.
I can't find my red saranac anorak. None of my other rain gear will really do... I must've had it at Baitcon, else I would've flipped out then wondering where it went. I threw in the freebie Blue Man Group poncho. Maybe I'll have time to shop for a suitable replacement. Same for my glacier glasses. Hopefully the back-ups I found are sufficiently UV-safe.
I'm sure they're here somewhere. Why?
Because, in my frantic search for them I found the $300 I misplaced the last time I went to Pennsic. Two years ago.
In other astonishingly good omens, I have a ride (and a back-up ride) to the airport at 6:45; from the airport on the other end, redundant hosts and rides to the playa. The return is a bit nebulous, but the sense of everything falling into place reassures me. Infinite/cosmic support, drawing me out with joy and love... perhaps Autumn is conjuring safe, pleasant journeys for her guests, or maybe I just really need to get some sleep.
Wish you joy, cosmic reassurance, the support of friends, the delightful rediscovery of something valuable thought long lost, and, (for some of you I hope most of all) a good night's sleep.
