"I'd give a year's pay for a peek under there."

Ok, no, I wouldn't. Maybe if it was my absolute favorite charity. (And... I had it to spare after buying real estate...) Or if I thought actually meeting my *Armchair* Stalkee Du Jour ($Celebrity_Crush) wouldn't be as demoralizing as, say, when I met his predecessor (Trent) and experienced just how uninteresting he found me.

Sadly, one of the crappiest theaters in town is "exclusively" screening The Good German. It's getting enough disappointing reviews that it may not be worth a bad theater. I suspect a wait until I can do a decent Brattle/Casablanca combo. (Or someone else treats me, like on a date. Yeah, right.)

Not this weekend though. I'm expected to be "back home" in time tomorrow to drive mom to a party.

to face the fear that my family may have decided to get me Clooney themed gifts this year, and, you know, not ones I might want, like Out of Sight or From Dusk Till Dawn. Really, he's so Mr. Right Now I can set the TiVO and get almost anything they'd buy. Sure, I'd like to see some of his obscure producer pieces, or his early bit-part as a drag queen... but, I don't need to own them. [livejournal.com profile] raeyn already covered getting me Jennifer Government so I can (and did) read the book before seeing the movie. (Which was totally unexpected and wicked cool of her, by the way.)

At least it's too late for it to be a Totally Clooney Christmas. My sister-in-law already mailed me a Heat Miser. Although, that Ocean's 13 premiere auction demonstrates that he and $Celebrity_Crush have something in common:

... He's Too Much...
